Kelvin McNeal, pianist/composer, received a Bachelor of Music degree from St. Norbert College, De Pere, WI; and a Master of Music degree from Dominican College, San Rafael, CA.
He is currently Adjunct Professor of Piano in the Contemporary Music Program at the College of Santa Fe.

He has concertized extensively as a solo pianist and in concerti, chamber music, and vocal repertoire in the US and Italy, and has been praised for his elegant emotionalism and formidable technique. 

He has studied with Ted Blair and H. Thomas Hurley, and participated in master classes with John Browning, Karl-Ulrich Schnabel, and Sasha Toperich; and has played with a wide array of musicians, including Miles Hoffman, Veronique Marcel, Tim Willson, Janice Felty, and Kevin Hanek.

He has also composed art-song cycles, choral music, solo piano music, and music for theatre and dance.
 
In the meantime, he has maintained a career as a freelance music director, conductor, coach, and/or accompanist for virtually every musical organization in Santa Fe, including the Santa Fe Opera, Santa Fe Pro Musica, Serenata of Santa Fe, Maria Benitez, Santa Fe New Music, and the Santa Fe Desert Chorale.
